Nombreux sont ceux qui le pratiquent en suppl\u00e9ment ou en remplacement des tractions \u00e0 la barre fixe. L&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat est pour la plupart d&#8217;isoler le dos en supprimant la gestion du balancement du corps observ\u00e9 aux tractions, mais \u00e9galement de pouvoir tirer une charge plus importante que sa propre masse corporelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Et il n&#8217;est pas rare d&#8217;observer des pratiquants aguerris placer leurs mains \u00e0 l&#8217;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la barre. La croyance derri\u00e8re ce geste est que la prise large, voire tr\u00e8s large, aura une plus grande influence sur le recrutement musculaire du grand dorsal, et qu&#8217;ainsi, cela permettra de d\u00e9velopper plus facilement un dos en &#8220;V&#8221;.&nbsp;<strong>Mais est-ce que cette pratique est r\u00e9ellement efficace dans le d\u00e9veloppement musculaire des grands dorsaux ? Le protocole consistait dans un premier temps \u00e0 \u00e9valuer le&nbsp;6RM&nbsp;lors du tirage vertical \u00e0 la poulie haute, et ce, pour chacune des 3 prises : serr\u00e9e, correspondant \u00e0 1 fois la largeur bi-acromiale ; medium, correspondant \u00e0 1.5 fois la largeur bi-acromiale ; et large, correspondant \u00e0 2 fois la largeur bi-acromiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Une semaine plus tard, la proc\u00e9dure de tests commen\u00e7ait r\u00e9ellement avec une s\u00e9rie \u00e0&nbsp;6RM&nbsp;pour chaque prise dans un ordre al\u00e9atoire. Pour contr\u00f4ler le mouvement, un goniom\u00e8tre \u00e9tait plac\u00e9 au niveau de la hanche pour s&#8217;assurer du maintien angulaire entre le tronc et le f\u00e9mur. Des \u00e9lectrodes de surface ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9es sur la peau des participants pour enregistrer l&#8217;activit\u00e9 \u00e9lectromyographique (EMG) des muscles biceps brachial, grand dorsal, trap\u00e8ze, et infra-\u00e9pineux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00e9sultats &amp; Analyses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Les principaux r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude montrent qu&#8217;\u00e0 intensit\u00e9 relative identique,&nbsp;<strong>peu importe la largeur de prise, l&#8217;activation musculaire des 4 muscles observ\u00e9s est similaire lors du tirage vertical \u00e0 la poulie haute<\/strong>&nbsp;(Fig. 6). De plus, la prise large ne permet pas de tirer aussi lourd que les prises serr\u00e9e et medium (Fig. 5). Plus le bras de levier est important et plus les moments de force articulaires seront importants. Les donn\u00e9es EMG montrent clairement que les prises serr\u00e9e et medium permettent de recruter de mani\u00e8re identique voire tr\u00e8s l\u00e9g\u00e8rement sup\u00e9rieure le grand dorsal, les trap\u00e8zes, l&#8217;infra-\u00e9pineux et les biceps brachiaux. De plus, comme la charge d\u00e9plac\u00e9e ainsi que l&#8217;amplitude sont plus importantes avec des prises serr\u00e9e et medium, elles semblent \u00eatre des choix plus judicieux pour les sportifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Enfin, si sur le plan musculaire, ces trois prises semblent similaires, il est important de rappeler que l&#8217;augmentation des moments de force articulaires augmentera les contraintes sur les articulations. Aussi, prendre le plus large possible n&#8217;est peut-\u00eatre pas une solution optimale \u00e0 long-terme pour la sant\u00e9 des \u00e9paules, par exemple.
