L&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat majeur de cette variante de l&#8217;entra\u00eenement de musculation est qu&#8217;elle ne n\u00e9cessite que peu d&#8217;\u00e9quipements, voire aucun, qu&#8217;elle permet de travailler l&#8217;ensemble des groupes musculaires et qu&#8217;elle peut \u00eatre pratiqu\u00e9e n&#8217;importe o\u00f9. Pourtant, peu d&#8217;\u00e9tudes scientifiques se sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9es \u00e0 ce type d&#8217;entra\u00eenement, et les quelques \u00e9tudes qui existent sur le sujet n&#8217;ont pas observ\u00e9es de b\u00e9n\u00e9fices sur la force et la masse musculaire. Ce manque de r\u00e9sultats est principalement d\u00fb aux protocoles de progression mis en place qui impliquaient une augmentation du nombre de r\u00e9p\u00e9titions et non une augmentation de la r\u00e9sistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour pouvoir comparer l&#8217;entra\u00eenement au poids de corps et l&#8217;entra\u00eenement de musculation traditionnel, il est en effet pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de modifier la variable de r\u00e9sistance. Pour les exercices avec charges additionnelles (squat, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 couch\u00e9, etc.), la variation de r\u00e9sistance est simple puisqu&#8217;il suffit d&#8217;ajouter des disques de fonte au fur et \u00e0 mesure de la progression. En revanche, pour les exercices au poids de corps, pour faire varier la r\u00e9sistance, il est n\u00e9cessaire d&#8217;utiliser des variantes plus difficiles d&#8217;un exercice donn\u00e9 pour rester dans une fourchette de r\u00e9p\u00e9titions d\u00e9finie. Dans ce cas,&nbsp;<strong>quel serait l&#8217;impact d&#8217;un entra\u00eenement callisth\u00e9nique sur la masse et la force musculaire en comparaison \u00e0 un entra\u00eenement de fonte ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L&#8217;\u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette question, des chercheurs am\u00e9ricains ont compar\u00e9 un entra\u00eenement aux pompes avec un entra\u00eenement au d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 couch\u00e9 (DC) durant 4 semaines et leurs effets sur la masse et la force musculaires. Pour cela, ils ont recrut\u00e9 23 participants, tous pratiquants mod\u00e9r\u00e9s de musculation (au moins deux s\u00e9ances de musculation depuis 2 \u00e0 6 mois), qu&#8217;ils ont r\u00e9partis al\u00e9atoirement en deux groupes : un groupe Pompes (n = 14) et un groupe DC (n = 9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant le d\u00e9but du protocole exp\u00e9rimental, tous les participants r\u00e9alisaient diff\u00e9rents tests. La taille, la masse corporelle et la composition corporelle \u00e9taient mesur\u00e9es. L&#8217;\u00e9paisseur musculaire du pectoral gauche \u00e9tait mesur\u00e9e via ultrasons. La force maximale au d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 couch\u00e9 (1RM) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9galement \u00e9valu\u00e9e, ainsi que le niveau de progression aux pompes (PUP) (Table 1&nbsp;et&nbsp;Fig. 1-10), pour d\u00e9terminer le niveau de d\u00e9part de tous les participants (tous les participants ont commenc\u00e9 aux niveaux 5-7). Enfin, un test de lancer de medicine ball (5.44 kg) assis \u00e9tait \u00e9galement r\u00e9alis\u00e9 pour \u00e9valuer la puissance des membres sup\u00e9rieurs. Pour le groupe &#8220;Pompes&#8221;, les participants devaient r\u00e9aliser 3 s\u00e9ries de 6 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions lors des variantes de pompes \u00e0 deux mains et 3 s\u00e9ries de 3 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions par bras lors des variantes de pompes \u00e0 une main. A chaque s\u00e9ance, l&#8217;objectif \u00e9tait de progresser d&#8217;une r\u00e9p\u00e9tition par s\u00e9rie. Lorsque les participants pouvaient r\u00e9aliser 3 s\u00e9ries de 8 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions (ou 2 x 3 s\u00e9ries de 4 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions \u00e0 une main) lors de deux s\u00e9ances cons\u00e9cutives, ils passaient au niveau suivant et repartait \u00e0 3 s\u00e9ries de 6 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions, etc. Pour le groupe &#8220;DC&#8221;, les participants ont commenc\u00e9 avec une charge \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 75% de 1RM en r\u00e9alisant 3 s\u00e9ries de 6 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions. Lorsqu&#8217;ils pouvaient r\u00e9aliser 3 s\u00e9ries de 8 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions lors de deux semaines cons\u00e9cutives, 4.54 kg \u00e9taient ajout\u00e9s et les participants recommen\u00e7aient Ces r\u00e9sultats montrent d&#8217;une part qu&#8217;un entra\u00eenement sp\u00e9cifique permet de mieux progresser sur les exercices sur lesquels nous nous entra\u00eenons, et d&#8217;autre part que l&#8217;entra\u00eenement avec les variantes de pompes a permis un meilleur transfert que l&#8217;entra\u00eenement au d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 couch\u00e9. Probablement du au fait que l&#8217;entra\u00eenement ne durait que 4 semaines, que le volume d&#8217;entra\u00eenement total n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas suffisant et que le travail propos\u00e9 n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas optimal pour l&#8217;hypertrophie musculaire. Enfin, aucune diff\u00e9rence significative n&#8217;a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9e sur le lancer assis de medicine ball. Cela d\u00e9montre que ce peut \u00eatre une alternative int\u00e9ressante pour les sportifs qui n&#8217;ont parfois pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une salle de musculation, ou qui veulent tout simplement s&#8217;entra\u00eener librement \u00e0 domicile ou en plein air. De plus,&nbsp;<strong>un des principaux int\u00e9r\u00eats de la callisth\u00e9nie est que la r\u00e9sistance employ\u00e9e n&#8217;exc\u00e8dera jamais la masse corporelle du sportif, et que l&#8217;entra\u00eenement implique des cha\u00eenes musculaires et non pas des groupes musculaires plus ou moins isol\u00e9s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toutefois la courte dur\u00e9e de cette \u00e9tude ne permet pas de tirer des conclusions d\u00e9finitives \u00e0 moyen et \u00e0 long terme. Il est en effet important de savoir si la progression atteindra un plateau ou non.
