Information in Sport and Training Sciences

About us

Our goal

The primary goal of Sci-Sport.com is to provide readers with clear and objective information in the field of sport and exercise science. To this end, we read, analyze and interpret articles from scientific journals specializing in sports training, sports medicine and sports engineering (e.g., Journal of Biomechanics, European Journal of Applied Physiology, Sports Engineering, International Journal of Sports Medicine, etc.).

All articles, reviews, courses and definitions offered on this site are written by us. The information we publish is, we believe, objective and we only consider the scientific facts as we write them. Each publication posted on this site will be updated to allow a real update of knowledge.

The team

ANELIYA V. MANOLOVA, Eng, PhD

Engineer in robotics and electrotechnics, passionate about sports and technology, Aneliya came to France to do a PhD thesis in biomechanics and biomaterials during which she worked with the French BMX team. His main area of research is the analysis of human-machine interactions. The fields of application of her thesis in sport are many, ranging from tennis rackets to sports shoes and bicycle frames. With her skills in biomechanics, anatomy and movement analysis, she focuses her research on improving sports equipment. Since September 2011, in collaboration with Pierre Debraux, she created the site Sci-Sport.com to provide sports professionals, students and all enthusiasts with reliable and accurate information on science and sports engineering and exercise.

PIERRE DEBRAUX, MSc, PhD

Pierre holds a PhD in Motor Performance, Adaptations and Sports during which he worked with the French BMX team. Passionate about strength and speed sports, Pierre directed his research work on aerodynamics, muscular power generation and the study of the differences between laboratory tests and field tests. He is now a sports science consultant and works with different public conducting conferences or establishing scientific protocols to evaluate sports performance. Since September 2011, in collaboration with Aneliya V. Manolova, he created the site Sci-Sport.com to provide sports professionals, students and all enthusiasts with reliable and accurate information on science and engineering sport and exercise.
